Aluminium Christmas Tree

Aluminium Christmas trees were popular in the late 60's. My husband and I had one the first year of our marriage and the only thing that seems good about it is that is was fire retardant!

I remember the trees, although I never had one...
I had a record player like yours and have noticed that Crosley (SP?)
is selling some that look just like the old ones. Some have the capacity to record the old vinyl to CD....

I too remember them but never had one. Brrrrr... They were not a great piece of nostalgia, at least to me. :-)

We had one. I loved it! It was so pretty with the lights shimmering on it.

I grew up in South America where there are NO pine trees, and the only christmas trees to be had were the fake ones. And they always looked so stupid to me. Then we got our aluminum tree and WOW... it was cool!
